Purchasing Instant Reprints

You can now buy instant reprints of selected articles from Lapidary Journal and StepByStepJewelry.com. It's quick, easy, and secure. Our Step-by-Step article archive links directly to an order form, if the article is available for purchase, or you can browse projects online and purchase them one at a time. We use PayPal to process your payment securely and instantly. Our articles are e-mailed to you in Acrobat PDF format.

Purchasing an article grants you the right to save the project on your hard drive and print it out for personal use. All written and graphic material is copyrighted by Lapidary Journal and the authors, and all copyright rules apply. You agree not to distribute any of the articles you buy without prior consent and arrangement with our offices.

If you order an Instant Reprint and do not receive it within 24 hours, please contact our website editor! We will look into the order and re-send you the article if it hasn't gone through. Your order should normally be approved and e-mailed to you within 2-3 hours. If it is a holiday or holiday weekend when you are contacting us, please allow us additional time to respond to your message. We will follow up as soon as our offices are open again.

Online Reprint Pricing:

Standard Instant Online Reprint - $4.00
(Most projects fall in this category.)

Advanced Instant Online Reprint - $5.00
(Advanced projects are articles which were originally printed in two, three, or more parts in different issues of Lapidary Journal, and are collected into one complete project for your convenience.)

How to order:

1. Click on the "Buy an instant reprint" icon next to the title and image. This will take you to our order processing center.
2. We use PayPal to process your payment securely and instantly.
3. If you already use PayPal for online purchasing, please note that the e-mail address where your article will be sent must be the same as your PayPal account e-mail address.
4. If you don't already have a PayPal account, it's FREE, secure and easy to sign up for one! Just follow the instructions on their website, and you will be on your way. Paypal is secure, and accepted by many merchants on the web.

What you get

1. Once your payment is approved, you should receive an email verification of the order details.
2.Shortly after you receive an order confimation, you'll receive another email with your project as a file attachment. Most projects are about 100K-500K (a few being larger), and all are formatted as Acrobat PDF files.
3. When you receive your project through email, you can open it up and read it in Acrobat Reader, a FREE plug-in. You can download a copy from Adobe here.

Problems?

• If you experience any technical difficulties, or do not receive an attached article file in your order for any reason, please contact our website developer.
• If something goes wrong with your payment, or your payment is not approved, you should contact your credit card company or PayPal for details. We won't send your article until the funds are available in your account.
• If you believe your card was charged but you never authorized the sale, please contact us and we'll investigate.
• We want to help you! Please phone us at 610-232-5722 if possible, before starting a PayPal dispute. It's possible your e-mail to us has bounced or our reply to you has bounced or been caught in a spam filter. We will gladly issue you a refund, but would rather try to work things out with you directly.

Print Reprints:
We can no longer offer printed reprints of our articles. Please try to locate a copy at your local library, gem or bead society. Another option is to purchase the back issue in which the article appeared. If we no longer have the back issue available, and you wish to own a copy (not just read it from a library) try searching on eBay or through the Orchid forums.

Back Issues:
We sell back issues of Lapidary Journal Jewelry Artist, Step by Step Beads, Step by Step Wire, and Colored Stone in our online store. Typically we have the last two to three years in-stock for most publications, although quantities vary for each issue and some may be sold out.
